Initiative taken by GVMC - on the "Heat Wave Action Plan-2017" is appreciated. Awareness not to expose to direct Sun light between 12:00 noon to 4:00PM by construction workers / General public to be intensified what ever means possible by the authorities.

Appreciate the initiative taken by GVMC to start Floating Solar Panel Projects in Two Reservoirs with in the city limits (Mudasarlova & Megadrigadda). It may take a long time for recovering the money spent but the big benefits to the society in general are many, to name a few.

1. Water evaporation losses can be reduced

2. Co2 emission can be reduced to bear minimum. Please find a rough comparison table of co2 emissions
Wind - 12 g CO2e / KWH
Solar - 54 g CO2e / KWH
Nuclear - 12 g CO2e / KWH
Gas - 477 g CO2e / KWH
Coal - 1001 g CO2e / KWH
3. Unwanted Weed growth in waters can be avoided and reservoirs can be well maintained under solor panel supervision

4. A step forward in alternative energy production
