Guntur Municipal Corporation

i am giving the following parameters to rate the Guntur Municipal corporation
1 Road and Buildings.(1-5) Main roads are maintained well but sub roads are not maintained and repairs are not done in time in spite of complaints and paper notifications 1

2. Roads and street cleaning" In our area road are cleaned daily but the dust and garbage collected is burnt out this is very bad practice, Bulk waste dumped on the road is not cleared in time, , my observation is if there are tree branches and other garden waste throug en on the road it will not cleared with in days, garbage collection form the houses is good 3

3. Maintenance of Street lights " Recently LED street lights are introduced , but in some areas, previous lights are not taken out this causes more power Loss, Where there are street lights covered with tree branches , regular pruning of branches will give more light this has to be done on regular intervals 3
4. Public Parks: only Gandhi park is maintained well, There are no public parks worth mentioning for rest 1

5. Public Toilets and bathing rooms: Very few, needs much to be taken up with swach bharat campaign 0

6. Parking places : no parking places are demarcated on busy roads, Bus will not stop at bus shelters , they are only for
advertisement . Specific bus shelters and parking places should be marked keeping in view of traffic junctions, 0

7. Traffic lights/ road signs: Traffic lights are installed and are not functional, zebra crossings and other road signs are missing 1
8. Public amenities, Swimming Pools, Stadium , Indoor stadium , Beautified water fronts and tanks,
regular maintenance of these places is required , swimming pools is not operational for one month, 3

9. Maintenance of Fruit and Vegetable Markets/ ryot bazars exist big market and pattabhipuram was shut down, no fruit market ,
10 accountability and transparency: web site is maintained but complaints are not attended for . Yearly budget is not published, only raod cleaning Complaints are attended promptlly
