Ground Water

Ground Water Department was created in the year 1970 in order to clear ARC reports for loaning to the poor farmers .later in this department was strengthen in the year 1978 with some new and modern techniques like Remote Sensing,Nuclear Hydrology etc.A lot of equipment were procured.But unfortunately due the negligence and ego of one or two persons ,these all new technical divisions were closed down in the year 1998 onwards.Unfortunately, government machinery also slept.A lot of equipment were dumped with no use.Along with this officers and staffs are getting old and got retired during the course of time.Now the position is that the department has come to a halt and now dependent on the outer agencies for the primary work.I am not able to understand that why new technical divisions were closed down and what happened to the equipment ,remote sensing data and of aerial photographs (Classified Data).Why are the existing officers being given dual and triple charges ,why promotions are not being done?
