Gram Panchayat

The working system of Gram Panchayat, Kompally, Secunderabad 500100 is very bad. They do not pick up garbage for days and even weeks. I live in Sree Vensai Projects, and we residents suffer from the stench that the accumulated garbage creates. On top of it, the staff of the Gram Panchayat openly set fire to garbage, This not only worsens the air pollution, but the trunks of the nearby full grown trees catch fire and get damaged and they finally die in a few days. There were quite a few accidents during heavy rains when these dead trunks of the trees fell on motor cyclists. One couple got killed in such an accident. I had made several complaints to the local police ; Petbasheerabad Police station, but no apparent action was taken.. The Sarpanch and the members seem to take interest only in their politics. They do not seem to have any idea of what their civic responsibilities are. The Ministry for Panchayat affairs should take the matter seriously and make the office bearers accountable. We want action; no empty talks please

The street lights seldome work on internal roads. Even on main road the street lights from TS Police Academy till Tipu Khan Bridge do not work. Garbage is piled up on this main road and never cleaned up and disposed. Garbage collection from residential communities is irregular.
