Coimbatore Junction (CBE)

As a Coimbatorean for decades, I am seeing this CBE Junction and North stations. While lot of ministers , Station Managers, DRMs have come and gone NOTHING is properly handled, to say the least. All are shouting from roof tops that this CBE Junction earns crores to Railways. But whatever improvements done is haphazard. As many written above there are lacunae than facilities. .
1) Station frontage is always crowded with Auto/Taxi Drivers.
2) Ticket counters are always crowded and no alternate places/ additional space is thought of.
3) Law abiding citizens WANT to buy platform tickets, to enter the platforms. But it has to be seen and experienced for a silly thing called Platform ticket purchase.
4) Especially the rear (Western) entrance CAN BE IMPROVED so much. But WHAT stops the Railway Officials is a mystery. There is only one counter at this end and the staff are BONE LAZY.
5) Absolutely NO display boards at the rear entrance announcing trains arrivals/departures and there is NO ONE to guide people / elderly.
6) While entering from rear (Goods Shed Road) side sometimes trains are either arriving / departing from different platforms. Since there are no escalators, you have to see to believe the plight of sick/ elderly carrying/ dragging their luggage to climb down steps and climb up again to reach their trains.
7) No proper display of positions of compartments even though the boards are mounted .
8) There are more noises of sickening advertisements from the speakers than CLEAR ANNOUNCEMENTS.
WHAT ACTUALLY RAILWAY ADMINISTRATION IS DOING IS ANYBODY'S GUESS.
THESE ARE NOT COMMENTS TO ANY PARTICULAR OFFICIAL. BUT ON THE WHOLE.
WHAT ELSE IS THEIR PRESSING WORK/ COMMITMENTS THAN ADDRESS THE GENUINE FACILITIES EXPECTED WHICH ARE BASIC.
On the whole even though a LOT can be done NOTHING is done.
I regret as a senior citizen to see our Coimbatore Railway station is in disarray and disintegrating.

All platforms from the common subway connecting both the entrances should have an approach through escalators. This would be of great help to senior citizens and all handicapped people.

Steps should be taken to decongest Coimbatore station and additional platforms need to be constructed.

there is no proper cleaning of human refuse and the stench is terrible
