IRCTC is doing good job for passengers, more particularly for internet users. But the ticket dalals or mischief mongers are creating lots of problem, particularly while booking Tatkal tickets. They are hizacking the software used by IRCTC and blocking the sites.Genuine passengers are not getting access to the site for booking. LRecently Railway authorities have taken strict action and hope in future such mischief will not take place.
Hard to get IRCTC. You book through other sites, where service charges are more. Worst in present Form. It was better previously. Milking from Private service providers.
IRCTC & Railway make money through arbitrary, unjust CANCELATION CHARGE of Rs 60 even for short-distance Seating Reservation , cancelled by Railway ITSELF !
I PROTEST that WITHOUT SERVICE or ANY stationery/ manpower COST Rail deducts Rs 180 (60x3) for 3 WaitListed e-tickets cancelled by Rail (NOT ME) as the booking was not confirmed. I had paid Rs 255 for 3 SEATING reservation (PNR 6318368083) through IRCTC website but Rail cancelled booking (SEVERAL HOURS LATER from Chart preparation) & I HAD TO BUY FRESH TICKETS TO TRAVEL. In such cases commoners suffer Double blow- agony + troubles and monetary loss.
I want REFUND of Rs 180 illogical cancellation charge as I GOT NO SERVICE OF RAILWAY at all.

they operated one Subidha express on 16th Oct, which was totally mismanaged.
Platform to board was fixed only 20 min before the departure time.
there was hardly any pantry car facility though they were overflowing with their inventory of food cereals.
bathrooms were not fitted with soap bottle.
we were not served food on the first night. only 2*300 ml of water was served. it was also not told no more would be given.

before Vijaywada station the train was stalled IR and 5 trains were given go ahead. in the rest of the way Subidha Express was screaming for clearence....the train was late by 3-15hrs at Santragachi. IRCTC provides cab at Howrah station, but they do not provide cab at their satellite station, 7 km away by road.
irctc has charged Rs 2000 extra and the had earned extra out of our cancellations in other trains.
now they should refund us the extra amount for the Asubidha they had created providing all BER bogies in Subidha express.

I travelled by Jammu Rajdhani , Train No 12426, PNR Non2427331542 boarded the train at Pathankot Cantt Railway Station Coach B-4 Seat No 25. Condition of the coach was very poor. Toilets were stinking and dirty. There was no light in one of the Toilet & reported this matter to the TTE of the Coach but there was no action. Food was not up to the mark. I had given the option of Non-Veg food while booking the ticket through IRCTC but the attendant bluntly told me that Non - Veg is not available. Rjadhani Train once used to be a premium train with good quality of Food but food served on the particular day was not upto the standard.
