One of the worst banks! A defective debit card that I requested to be replaced on 10th August 2021 was finally delivered to me on 10th October 2021 after repeatedly calling the toll free number many times and even approaching the home branch officials. I was advised to be patient and was assured that the card would definitely delivered to me in DUE COURSE OF TIME! After the card was delivered, I could not generate the temporary PIN and I was advised once again to try it on a CASH DISPENSING ATM! But the machine did not accept the card and declared it INVALID. I again had to go to the home branch where an official called someone on phone and I was told to try generating a PIN after two days! In the meanwhile payment against my credit card became due (I used to pay on Billdesk using my SBI debit card) and since I did not have my SBI debit card; I chose to pay using my BOB card but the Billdesk did not complete the transaction; though Billdesk offers the option of using BOB card for payment! I was then charged for delayed payments and after approaching the nodal offficer and explaining him the whole issue this charge was reversed! SBI, you simply rock!
i wanted to switch loan from HDFC to SBI. on 1st Oct they SMSed that they have sent my loan application. now one SBI person is asking " how to visit your house...which way it is, how far from there" Another person called up from Kilpauk that "you have to show the original document, no no no noh, you have to come here, yes yes you can send a person with those document"
In Bihar Sharif, there are 4 SBI branches. In none of them, GREEN CHANNEL works properly. Most of the days it remains fail. Even the day it works, you need to swipe twice or thrice or wait for luck. In the three banks, each have two Green Channel machine but they say only one may work, other is permanently non-functioning. And on that one you have to attempt your luck. Out of 20 to 25 tries, I've got only one day when it was working without any problem.
Very poor service and regard for customer. Even money in account in not safe. A forged cheque was encashed from my 80 year old mothers account and inspite of repeated efforts the Bank refused to act and reimburse her money ! And she has been a customer for nearly 30 years with the Bank.
