CHEATING BY TRAI
TRAI has been announcing that PAY ONLY FOR WHAT YOU WATCH. But under this cover Public is being FOOLED and TV Companies are being benefited. I explain my case. I am having a connection with AIR TEL with Rs.219/- including taxes as monthly pack and enjoying almost all the Hindi channels. But if these are priced with the new POLICY of ‘PAY WHAT YOU WATCH’ the cost of all the channels comes to app.1000/- as told by AIR TEL. Now I have selected only three packs of, ZEE, COLOUR, & SONY, the Min cost is coming to Rs.108/- and Rs.153/- is added as compulsory charges, making total of Rs.261/- + taxes.
So I will be watching only 20% of present & paying more. SO THIS SLOGAN OF PAY FOR WHAT YOU WATCH IS PUTTING MIRCHI IN PUBLIC EYES. more

MR NARAYAN, GREETINGS. I DONT AGREE WHAT YOU HAVE SAID. I AGREE ONE HAS 200 CHANNELS BUT WATCHES ONE AT A TIME. SOME ARE FAVOURITE. BUT FAMILY CONSISTS OF CHILDREN WHO LIKE MOVIES GAMES FANTASIS, MATCHES ,PARENTS INTERESTED IN NEWS CURRENT AFFAIRS MOVIES DRAMAS, GRAND PARENTS BHAKTI DEVOTIONAL CHANNELS. THESE ALL WERE AVAILABLE IN 219/- NOW WHEN ONLY 7-8 PAID CHANNELS ARE SELECTD, THE COST IS GOING UP TO MORE THAN 350/- WITH NO ASSESS TO OTHER CHANNELS. SO PRACTICALLY THE NEW POLICY IS KILLING THE INTEREST OF COMMON MAN, NOT BENEFITTING HIM. THE WORST PART IS ADDING OF 130/-+GST WHICH WAS NOT EARLIER. THE BEST SOLUTION IS THERE CAN BE MIN CHARGES OF 130+GST=153 FOR FREE CHANNELS AND PAID CHANNELS COSTING UP TO 153. IF THE COST OF PAID CHANNELS IS MORE THAN 153 SAY 198 THAN CHARGES ARE TO BE ONLY 198 NOT 198+153=351 AS BEING CHARGED BY COMPANIES UNDER THE COVER OF NOTIFICATION BY TRAI- D K GUPTA more

It is a question of how many channel you were able to actually spent time and watch in Rs 219 before.YEs it could be a mental atisfaction I have so many channels in my TV, but am I watching it.? Now one can select what one wants watch and change the pattern every month as one likes.So TRAI regulation benefits consumer provided consumer selcts channels properly. more
