Toothpaste Contents

Appreciate CEO participation in circle from FSSAI and Localcircles. Indeed the way to go!!

I see often that many toothpastes that you find in dept stores get discontinued after a few months. Talking about toothpastes from brands like colgate, close up etc.

Are toothpastes under ambit of FSSAI? What ensures that the content of the toothpaste which I understand has many chemicals are safe for consumption, esp children consumption. more

in reply to Ms Sarita: the one point that tilted my switch over from known MNC toothpaste variants is: "why stuff chemicals in your mouth first thing in the morning?" while we are tearing our hair on choice of toothpastes, an amusing practice is still followed in rural bengal: that from kids 2 yrs old to octogenerians use a concoction made of TOBACCO as dant manjan. dont believe me, but those who can, watch kids getting high early in the morning on consumption of tobacco ! more
I think most of the Tooth pastes should be analyzed by Mrs Sunita Narayan's Lab and reports make public for the purpose of FSSAI and safety of public. Further I ffel most of them must be containng some harmful elements. more
Its quite surprising that the dentist amongst us Dr. Malhotra is not recommending Dant Kanti and Dabur Red. What about Dabur Meswak? more
Just I informed the matter to RAILWAY MINISTER ABOUT THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF PRICE FOR WATER WHICH IS SERVED BY THE IRTC. IT'S UNBELIEVABLE. more
Change tooth paste Doctor suggested one, who knows why change one. I fear loss of tooth condition changing one, and i stick to my choice of it. more
