Swachh Bharat success perspective

I think over the last few years Government has very smartly diverted the swachh bharat related news into a ranking competition amongst cities.

The only study which seemed to have done some evaluation of how the program is performing is that of our circle..

https://www.localcircles.com/a/press/page/eight-years-of-swachh-bharat-survey

The study says majority believe functional public toilets have not increased despite municipalities going ra-ra about how many they have started.

In Delhi many stay locked, in semi urban India they are filthy.

After 8 years if municipal responsiveness has improved its not such a big achievement.

Awareness amongst kids is probably the best achievement of all.

Where u live please share experience. If i am accurate Id like to know. If I have limited view i’d like to learn more

I think most of the Municipalities are lethargic and are being controlled by Labor Unions. Cleanliness has been totally forgotten. Roads and Footpaths are totally broken. It is very very difficult for Senior Citizens to walk on the Foot paths and roads. See Indore, they are Cleaning 2 times in 24 Hours. Why same can not be implemented in Mumbai? May be because of opposition by Labor Unions. Actually Nights are best time to Clean the City as Traffic is practically Zero. more
Real Swatcha Bharat comes from Toilet outlets immediately converted to usable intermediates instantly. Then instead of taxing users, you can pay them for using the toilets. more
Bengaluru has ways to go I terms if cleanliness. Stumbling blocks are the local MLAs and corporator and the citizens. more
My opinion during my recent visit to India/Chennai is that the roads were maintained surprisingly clean. more
States which are responsible are showing some raw systems and claims the grades. The filth in States which takes credit and money from people and center are at the mercy of the family rule. Kitchen cabinets have found place in most of the States..The traversing of the systems imposed needs a herculean task more
