Stray Dogs

It seems there is no solution to stray dogs roaming the streets of this country. They are a menace and some of them are vicious and bite. Last week my niece was bitten by one and needed emergency treatment. We investigated as to what we could so that this would not happen again and we found that there was nothing we could do. The Municipal Corporation had no money to pick them up and sterilize them and there were no animal shelters to send them to. The NGOs would not allow us to remove them and neither would they do anything about them. It seems humans need an NGO to protect us from the stray animals. This happened in a posh area of Gurgaon. The situation is that though there are parks in the area and the streets are clean and people can walk, no one enjoys any of this because of the stray dogs that roam freely and are multiplying. more

Form a Local Circle in your city " PROFESSIONALS FOR CITY" .to replace politicians by Professionals in Civic Boy. Form groups of 4 to 10 persons in each ward and select a good well educated person to be the representative of that ward in next civic election. At present we don’t bother for Municipal elections, we just put our stamp on a candidate selected by Politicians. On the contrary people of the area should choose an honest well educated person and talk about him in your Ward. Let him contest and Win the election. When such persons will sit in Civic Body...you get answer to your concern. more
Here in Pune also it is a major problem it includes cattle also. more
that is why people are now a days behaving more like dog. barking and biting all the time. Sterilization of all stray animals in a big way periodically for a couple of years willreduce the problem to a great extent. more
Even in Bengaluru ,we are facing this problem. Its better to look into this as early as possible. more
