In our society (Laxmi Vilas, Mukund Nagar, Pune - 41107), the members segregate wet and dry garbage. Wet garbage is taken to vermiculture pits. Gry garbage is given to Swach which is accredited by PMC for this purpose. Housekeeping agency has been given strict instructions not to pick the garbage of a member who has not segregated wet and dry garbage or has not done this properly. At the same time Security personnel have been instructed not to allow any member to carry garbage outside the society gate for dumping in corporation bins. more
We have taken the Swachh Bharat initiative in our colony on 10th Oct 2014 and have been religiously spending 2 hours on every Sunday for cleaning. The team is well connected through Whatsapp. We always play patriotic songs while cleaning to keep the motivation alive. We have cleared 8 trucks of garbage & plant debris so far !!! more
