Residential construction in Faridabad

Of late, I have been seeing large scale construction of Parking+4 floors in all HUDA sectors of Faridabad (now under MCF). MCF seems to be giving fast-track permissions !

I understand Haryana govt has given permission to construct these floors in all sectors. My observations, with a feeling of sadness, as a resident are :

1. Haryana govt has allowed such constructions under pressure from builder/real estate lobby.

2. These large floors are not coming up because of need of poor, LIG groups but due to greed of builders or landlords who have more than one houses (these sectors have large plots of 350,500,1000 sq yds)

3. While this may be giving work to contractors, masons, labourers, it is giving a lot of discomfort to residents of these sectors who have been living for over 20 years.

4. A serious concern is that these high rise floors are blocking sunlight and air to the original residents who are living in either ground or double floors.

5. Malba, construction material keeps lying and flying on roads all around for months causing dust and noise pollution, which is already a serious issue in Faridabad.

6. Earlier, we had single, double or at the most, 2.5 storey houses in these areas, but now parking+4 floors are becoming common. In quite a few cases, basement is also created. The infrastructure was originally not created for such multi-storeyed houses. I dont understand on what basis these floors are being allowed while facilities like water, sewer lines, electricity, roads are same or worse than earlier.

7. And last but not the least, when crores of rupees are at stake for people making policies, giving and seeking approvals, can corruption or quid pro quo be ruled out ! more

Sad on the part of buiders who are bent upon to spoil the environment all round . This country has become the place of builders and in no way benefiting the poor and middle class. M.L. Tiku Faridabad more
