Pets on board in domestic flights

So now this new airline akasa says "Pets weighing upto 7 kg allowed on board

7-35 kg: to be checked-in at airport

35-100 kg: to be checked-in at cargo terminal

Charges for each category to be announced shortly and Booking for pets from Oct 15 & they can start flying from Nov 1

Who will issues rules that says how to keep the pet. There should be no passengers (other than owners) in the same seat set. How will boarding and de boarding take place. Will they be on a leash or in a basket??

I for sure am not flying akasa. The pets can. more

Dogs and Cats are treated to be a pet animals. Carrying a dog onboard the aircraft is a safety issue for the fellow passengers. Rules & regulations has to be sought from DGCA. Lap dog is allowed to be carried onboard the aircraft after taking the due permission from the Commander. Muzzle has to be placed on the dog's mouth during the journey and should not be allowed to move around in the cabin because every passenger might not be an animal lover. Sole responsibility lies with owner for safe custody of the dog. In case of full fledged dog, the dog should be in the cage. The dog should be given a sedative for the period of journey. The cage will be X-Rayed without the dog. Passenger has to pay the Excessive Baggage. The cage will be loaded in the Bulk Baggage hold of the aircraft and the Commander is informed about the pet on board. Accordingly the commander maintains the temperature in that zone suitable to the animals. IN NO CASE THE FULL FLEDGED DOG SHOULD BE ALLOWED ON BOARD THE AIRCRAFT WITH OR WITHOUT THE CAGE. DOG CAN USED FOR DIVERSION TACTICS FOR UNLAWFUL ACTIVITY. more
Let's have the rules for carrying of pets in a flight. The tyoe of pets that can van use the flights will also be known by then. Without full information it may notv be wise to comment on the issue. more
My opinion: No pet should be allowed in the passenger compartment/cabin on flights. more
Pets usually travel in cargo , not in seats more
