NOTIFICATION BY TRAI
TRAI has been announcing that PAY ONLY FOR WHAT YOU WATCH. Is it really giving benefit to the consumer. I explain my case. I am having a connection with AIR TEL with Rs.219/- including taxes as monthly pack and enjoying maximum of the Hindi channels, 300 app. But if these are priced with the new POLICY of ‘PAY WHAT YOU WATCH’ the cost of all these channels comes to app.1000/- as told by AIR TEL. Now I have selected only three packs of, ZEE(23 channels), COLOUR(25), & SONY(7), These packs contains some free channels also. The cost of these is coming to Rs.108/- and Rs.153/- is added as compulsory charges, making total of Rs.261/- + taxes. What are these charges of Rs.153/-. It has been told that these are for FREE CHANNELS
So I will be watching only few of present but paying more. SO THIS SLOGAN OF PAY FOR WHAT YOU WATCH IS PUTTING LOSS TO PUBLIC BEING MISINFORMED AND BENEFIT TO TV COMPANIES. CAN ANY ONE CLARIFY BY AN EXAMPLE. more
