Please suggest which are the most pure cow ghee brands of India. I need to know for myself in Noida and my Sister in Bangalore so both north india and south india recommendations are needed.
Desi cow milk is costly and ghee still costlier. But if you want quality, you have to pay for it. I believe all the branded ghees are made from jersy cows and the like. A local milkman whose cow shed you can visit and convince yourself of having only Indian cows, will be the best choice. more
In all commercial brands 100% purity is impossible. Patanjali is getting cow butter from south India and converting it in to cow ghee. The price is reasonable and quality appears to be good. Amul cow ghee is also good. We have been using both. My brother needed 100% pure ghee to lubricate dry eye. We tried to make it with desi cow milk cream. 100 grams costed us more than Rs. 600/- plus the cost of getting it from the milk man and processing the same. more
