ALLOPATHIC / WESTERN vis -a - vis AYUSH / EASTERN TREATMENT and ADJUANTS for COVID 19 :
The Allopathic / Western Medicine was considered PALLIATIVE Treatment for Diseases .As they suppressed/ relieved the symptoms like Pain , Swelling . The plus point of Allopathic drugs was their Broad spectrum Bactericidal & Bacteriostatic effects from Sulphas, Penicillin, Tetracyclines and later their derivatives and the newer generation ones . So Allopathic medicines are the Drug of Choice for acute ailments and Relief and Severe Infections .
But it is not so for Chronic diseases like Arthritis, Rheumatic diseases ,G.I. ailments and specific body parts . To build / Boost Immunity one has to depend on herbs, and mostly food items that added to our daily diet . Also AYUSH has the lists of foods which is to be avoided in different conditions for specific periods for the recovery and success of treatment .
No direct drug is yet found to be 100% effective on COVID 19 by Pharma companies and approved by medical bodies world over . Still on Trial stage for main drug and adjuvants (serving to aid and enhance the effectiveness of medical treatment). Pharma companies are busy suggesting adding Adjuants for the Therapy.
The entire country and the world is going through difficult times with the Pandemic, unable to get any Tangible solution or one single proven effective therapy . THE AYUSH MINISTRY ON TUESDAY ASKED YOGA GURU RAMDEV'S PATANJALI AYURVED TO PROVIDE AT THE EARLIEST THE COMPOSITION AND OTHER DETAILS OF THE MEDICINE IT CLAIMED IS FOR THE TREATMENT OF COVID-19, AND ORDERED THE FIRM TO STOP ADVERTISING THE PRODUCT UNTIL THE "ISSUE" IS EXAMINED.
I HOPE IT WILL PUT TO REST THE FEAR AMONG SOME CONCERNED SEECTION THAT PATANJALI WILL CAN MARKET ANY PRODUCT WITHOUT PROVEN TRIALS .

Yes, "make hey while the Sun shines" is apparently the principle followed by all pharma companies as well the Patanjali and as such it is wise for people to wait and watch till there are proven results. more

Thanks for the important Language correction . As you are 2 year older to me, I look forward to your comments . Ther again it is like a " MENU " . I take what I is useful . As a consumer I needn't buy all that is flooding the Indian Market . At my own level I dont buy the chinese Toys (AS GIFT FOR KIDS ) and elctric household and festival items though it is cheap. Make hay while the Sun shines is the principle always adopted by the pharma industry. So what if Patanjali does it? The Western Medicine has miserably failed to take stock of the situation. The Eastern Medicine has equally failed to do so. In this process, both are trying to build their capital. Both are not selling their products free of cost. They are not only earning but making huge profits. Both are in business, not charity. They are not working for the betterment of mankind. After all, it is the fear of death that makes us take some medicine against known and unknown diseases. Why crib about approvals, when the bodies themselves are not certain to avert death by taking a particular medicine? more

Oh! That is what the problem is. Entry of Patanjali in finding a drug from nature is worrying you? (btw It is not "SHORT in the dark,but SHOT in the dark") Don't buy Coronil till some IAS officer signs the order who can not even identify Gramineae or Poaceae. more
