I think this topic coordinator himself has lost focus hence no point wasting time on this topic. World is a unified entity now and ppl talkinh about using Sanskrit as national language :). It's a great language but we don't want to isolate yourself now from rest of the world. He is talking of 1 lac being per capita income not sure that is in villages or cities or slums. For a decent basic living of 2+2 with kids in decent private school bare minimum yearly income is 5-6lacs now for cities like Hyd, blor, Mumbai. We need to factor these when thinking of taxing lower income levels sir more
But Mr. Raghuveer, we do pay lot of perks to a section of society. And they are very efficient people and looked well, even after death. That's explain the shortage of land in Delhi. more
the topic is income tax- but everything else is being discussed here! However I cannot resist commenting on mr sahore's remarks. Sanskrit is a great and lovely language but we Indians have this habit of using verbs like "should" and "must". we have to accept that there could be others with a different viewpoint and you cannot impose things. I am a student of Sanskrit too but India is a diverse country with more than 400 languages and dialects. to say that they are all useless is an absolute oversimplification. you have great poets and literature in all regional languages. regional language is something many grow up with. I absolutely agree with mr Goyal that we Indians lack finesse and politeness. I feel children need to be taught early on about cleanliness, polite behaviour, respect for law, and discipline. these are sorely lacking compared to other countries. it is the responsibity of parents too to inculcate this things at an early age. more
Balasubramanyam ji, you are right when you say that such things should be inculcated from the very childhood. It is of utmost importance that children learn a sense of discipline in the childhood which is not only the responsibility of the school but of the parents also. Personal etiquettes, traffic rules, road sense & Lakhnavi Tehzeeb of "Pehle Aap" etc needs to be ingrained in the impressionable mind from the very beginning. It is is possible only if the parents would feel that it is really needed.Firstly today's parents need to be convinced that it is the need of the hour. more
We have per caita income of less than a lakh per annum and we talk about bettering the life of those having income of may be 2.5 + 1.5=4.0. We pay 45000/- pm as pension to a retired Major. We pay 15000/-, as I guess, as pension to a retired soldier. Why retire in that case? Let them go on working till they themselves go away. more
