Hospital-Doctor-Pharmacy Nexus on Medicine Sales

I have personally experienced that medicines prescribed by some hospital/doctors are only available in that hospitals pharmacy or the ones closeby and no where else in the city including big markets like Yusuf Sarai.

Really disappointing. Can someone shed light on this nexus please and how this can be fixed. more

It is always better to ask doctor to prescribe medicines by 'generic' name( or at least write generic name also ) to avoid such inconvenience to patients. more
