Emergency Quota Rationalization

In february this year, we had given feedback on rationalizing emergency quota to prevent misuse. It was proposed that the quote be reduced from 100,000 to 25,000 and tatkal rates applied. Does Minister Prabhu plan to take any action. I am sure savings/gains will be in thousands or atleast hundreds of crores?

Please advise more

Major portion of Emergency quota may also be released to Confirm standard wait listed tickets 3-4 days before the departure. more

No not totally scrapped but those tickets must be released as premium tickets irrespective of the user to stop misuse. more

some times railway officials are advised about the official journey at the las moment and that time all seats are booked. then only option is EQ more
