Corporate Governance of listed companies

India's market regulator SEBI has increased scrutiny of deals by the Adani Group over the past year and will study a report issued by short-seller Hindenburg Research to add to its own ongoing preliminary investigation into the group's foreign portfolio investors.

It took a US based 5 person research firm to bring out issues in Indian company for SEBI to act. What kind of governance is this and what kind of servile media we have in our country.

When this report come our media published Adani clarification. In response the company posted attached saying Adani going legal will lead to additional discovery and is great.

LocalCircles members must study this if they are owners of shares in Indian companies or Adani companies more

This, Hindenburg's revelation, however, was Indian capitalism's stress test. Of course, revealing how much the state or allowed a particular capitalist allowing his company, Adani Green Energy share, reach 56 times book value! Hindenburg into short-selling business, having such a history, when causing huge redemptions, may profit, purchasing the shares cheaply, from the company's losses. Just as well! more
Hindenburg explores man-made disasters. Can't hyphenate self-defence with defending the nation, citing the familiar nationalism argument. Did As famously said, patriotism refuge of the scoundrels. Yes, SEBI, the Indian watchdog, though circumspect mostly, now appears quite servile towards the mighty rich. There are many corporates, doing good within the country, so Adani must please respond. more
As per Hindenburg, 62 out of 88 questions posed by them remain unanswered; this is possibly an indication of concealment of facts by Adani group. An EGM must be called immediately by all group companies, if they want to come out clean; the agenda must include all the questions from Hindenburg with replies + supporting documents. Let the shareholders (real owners of any Public Ltd. Company) decide future of this Group. more
most of the allegations made in Hindenburg research on Adani Group seems to be true. Question is, a normal research firm got so much details and facts on the misdoings, What SEBI and our Investigating agencies were doing? Who would be responsible for the loss of retail investor? Adani, Govt, SEBI? more
Dogs keep barking but people keep walking more
