We are pleased to share with you that the Government in the Consumer Protection Act 2019 notified on July 20, 2020 has included Class Action Suit provision. This provision will allow consumers to come together as a class and approach CCPA to claim damages for product defects, service deficiency or misleading ads. Below is the detailed LocalCircles survey report: Class Action for Consumer Protection - Survey
You are invited to review the above and share your ideas on key areas where this provision can be used in the near future. The objective is to prioritize key areas and share the same with CCPA so action happens in those area where consumers are suffering the most.

Very good information. There is one problem also we are facing with monopoly and authoritarian attitude of DHVBN, Faridabad Div,. F14(4). They issued /uploaded June Month's Elect. Bill on their website against our Account No. 5432240000 of Kalibari Cooperative Group Housing Society , Plot No. GH-15, Sector-21D, Faridabad on 08.07.2020 but mentioned issue date in back date i.e. 22.06.2020 and due date 02.07.2020. No Electric Bill was issue/uploaded in the month of June, 2020. Also they issued/uploaded July month's Bill for Rs. 479048/- within the gap of three days with due date 21.07.2020 by adding the June month's Bill with Surcharge. Why surcharge when they uploaded June month's bill on 08.07.2020 with showing due in back date 02.07.2020. We made several complaints but they did not adhered. Can this matter be dealt through Consumer Protection Act 2019 ? more
