Mood of the Consumer survey shows signs of demand recovery

Thanks to all members who participated in the Mood of the Consumer survey to understand earnings and savings position of households for the year and if they will spend in the coming months.

Mood of the Consumer Survey

This survey is one of the first indicators in India suggesting that consumer demand is strengthening beyond the festive season. LocalCircles will be sharing the same with the Finance Ministry leadership and other Government stakeholders so efforts can be made to sustain this.

As always, do share your inputs on what else can be done so 2021 becomes an year of major economic revival for India. more

There is a need for improving the 'ease of doing business'. Too many permissions, regulations, compliances, etc.
The present way of formation of labour unions and it's election of office bearers is age old. The minimum strength for a labour union to be formed in a firm should be 40% of the employees and it's office bearers who will negotiate should only be internal. The unions can get affiliated to other major labour conglomerates. more
We as representative of the British legacy, are continuing with IAS, IPS, IFS IRS etc., although they are white elephants and a burden on society. Since they are mostly good students, just remove the Tags & use them in various fields , wait to see the enormous gains in near future. more
Appointing IAS as CMD of all type of Organisations is proving to be a big failure. You have to see the main function of the organisation and appoint the specialist accordingly instead of simply appointing IAS personnel. Another thing is these IAS are appointed for 3 years, which is too short a period. By the time they understand the organisation,it is the time for them to leave. It should be atleast 6 years. more
That's why it is told "Consumer is the king" more
The BJP govt. does not know how to revitalise the economy and the skill. All good, attractive products like cups, plates, tea sets, service trolleys , sofas, etc. are made in China. Unless qualified people are put in the right place, India will lag. The syranglehold of the IAS over various depts. is the most disadtrous type of organisation in India. Even the UK, which introduced the ICS, does have an equivalent organisation. As a technocrat, doctors, engineers etc. always felt humiliated working under the IAS. In the last 73 yrs. the IAS could not develop India. All govt. depts. are seeped in corruption, incompetence and inefficiency. Still we are continuing with this structure. For India's progress, such an organisation must be dismantled forthwith. more
