Charcoal Icecream

Recently in CP I came across an icecream shop selling activated charcoal icecream that was black in colour. FSSAI, public is standing in line and buying this product which seems to be dangerous to say the least. Can you advise if you have permitted activated charcoal icecream in India. is there a standard? more

Do you have any specific knowledge about the product? If yes, kindly clarify a little together with its ingredients to enable us to evaluate its deadliness if consumed or it is merely a process of raising our eyebrows towards a newly introduced product! Only color of a product can't be a matter of consideration. Already we have ice creams of almost similar color (deep brown) as well as in several other colors. more

Colour-rich dinner plates are supposed to be good.I read somewhere that black foods are good too.Attaching an article. This article has many but I can think of kaala til(black sesame) straight off. Some fish, too, apparently. So,I wonder if there is anything to fear. https://naturallysavvy.com/eat/black-is-the-new-green-9-black-foods-you-should-be-eating/ more
