Dehyphenate diesel from petrol. Diesel especially the one that being sold, and run in engines using old technology, is more polluting. Pollution quotient if considered would make this price justified as those breathing in the air pay with their health. High prices induce people to search for alternatives such as CNG and electric transportation, or even take public transportation that runs on these, and save fuel, which overall has good results for environment too. A Comedy show is going on to put wool over public eyes.While Center asks States how long they want to keep Petroleum products out of GST( Petrol, Diesel & Gas Only). Nirmala Sitharaman the Commerce Minister vehemently says that they need to be kept out of GST. So the BJP Government is at odds within itself.
