40 pct residents now want to quit Delhi NCR due to pollution

Many of you participated in the LocalCircles Coping with Pollution survey conducted last Friday-Saturday. The survey suggests that 40% of the participants would like to move out Delhi NCR given the collective failure of administration to be able to address the hazardous air quality. This was evident yesterday as parts of Delhi NCR experienced PM 2.5 levels between 700-1600. Also, many of the residents or there family members are now facing health issues due to the poor air quality. Below is the link to the survey report.

Delhi NCR Coping with Pollution Survey 2019

It is highly recommended that you go through the report and over social media or email share with all administrators in Central, State and Local Administration and urge them to act. more

Every year we face this problem of death trap of Air Pollution in October-November. Two main reasons are Diwali crackers and Parali burning by neighboring states. Crackers are emitting more poisonous gases beyond carbon-di-oxide. We must change our traditions and uses according to need of the time to counter effect of some other changes brought in, in the name of development. Cracker bursting must be brought to zero, by closing all cracker production houses. All cracker stores and shops sealed with adequate compensation. Bursting of crackers on any occasion, may be festival, marriage or any else may be made an offence to safeguard the fundamental right of Right to Live of persons. Alternative for Parali burning by farmers is to provide them financial assistance to purchase technology to make rolls of it to be used as fodder for live stock as done in European Nations. But it should be stopped by force immediately, seeing the emergency as felt by Hon'able Supreme Court. Public must exert pressure on Government for their right, instead of leaving the city. Where ever one goes this death trap will follow. more
The fate of Delhites is to Die of pollution, 40% Melhores opted to move out of Delhi but it is not practically viable. In 2020 Delhites should vote such party only who commit to make Delhi pollution free within a year or step down. Illegal migration to Delhi also needs to be stopped as these people mushroom in unauthorised colonies and political parties help them & get elected by these vote banks. more
That is what they want/wish they could do. The reality is different, perhaps only 1% can actually afford to move out. Most of us have no options to just get up and go!!! more
It is true to move out delhi because Delhi was capture by outside they have no interest to keep delhi clean and their vote power is more so our political party prefer them to live instead of people who residence from long periods more
We should to blame ourselves. People are using diesel SUVs. We take prestigious issue to commute metro or Dtc bus. First u have to blame yourself rather than outsiders. more
