2. Non of North India Railway Station is maintained, because in North India Government Job means enjoy the salary without any work, Gov. should motivate and give accountability to the Rail employ . If unable to perform relieve him from his job, and depute another poor Indian citizen to perform.

I have been thro' Allahabad junction for almost 30 years now and things have only worsened with passage of time and in particular after Allahabad became zonal HQ.
1.Cleanliness is very bad except plat no.1.
2. no attention is paid to cleaning or water refill for trains
3. almost 100% times both in up and dn directions trains get held up for 5-30 min at outer or even home signal. This happens often with majority of platforms being vacant. Most trains will get delayed.
4. train signages are displayed most of time.
5. catering services are almost no existent except for plat no. 1 -- often the vendors will make funny excuses for not serving tea or coffee from a vending machine.

Frankly speaking allahabad jn station is blot not only for Railways but Indian heritage as well . facilities resemble those of abandoned and neglected station with no care for hygiene n facilities. Railways must do improvements quickly as ppl from all over the world visit Allahabad n Sangam

Allahabad Railway station has TEN platforms, cleanliness is seen hardly on Platform no.1 only.
unfortunately it is impossible for handicap and old age people to reach any platform except platform no 1,without climbing stairs as there is no lift or underground sub way. At few places escalators have been put but hardly works.
