There is a provision for discount in Air India, but whenever I tried to book a ticket through various sites (including Air India), I am not getting the option. Moreover, the Air India site is not customer friendly. It is very cleverly designed to misguide the passenger, while booking a ticket.

Avoidable. Only take if the fares are significantly lower (which is rare) than any other airline on the given day.

I have given my feedback umpteen times whenever i have flown Air India. They neither respond nor do they improve their service.
The Air India flight are generally expensive and most of the travellers belong to Govt. officers. The experience faced by me while travelling on 15th March 2014 does not speak about any justification of higher fare over other airlines. Again it reminds to be as 'white Elephant"
I had a chance to travel on Air India flight from Bangalore to Delhi on 15th March 2014. I had traveled quite a lot through Air India flights in the past. However, the experience encountered on flight AI-404 on 15th March 2014 reminded me of the tendency of their downward growth and continued support on Govt. of India for its survival. I am just mentioning below some of the points reflecting its unprofessionalism:

1. The AC even at the boarding point was not working. I just thought may be due to take-off process, the AC might have been switched off. Surprisingly it was giving hot air.
2. Even after take off, the AC did not work. The same was informed to the cabin crew atleast three times. Every time it was being stated that the concern has been informed. Hence the entire flight was covered in a hot and suffocated environment.
3. The TV display panel did not work during entire journey. The reason stated as usual "Technical"
4. It was quite surprising to note that the latchet of lockers above the seat No. 10D was getting opened time and again and cabin crew was time and again trying to close it through use of some tapes. I was occupying seat No. 11D. When I started looking here and there, the same was the situation seen at least at 4 lockers.
5. My surprise did not end here. More surprises meted out when I went to the toilet 'D' finding huge length of tapes used even to close the cover below the wash basin and at many other places. My fellow passenger informed me that the toilet on the other side 'E' was having wash-basin fully choked.
6. I had to request cabin crew three times to provide the feedback form. The feed back form was filled up but no body collected. I had to go at the back to handover the same. Cabin crew was in so much hurry to serve the food that they came to serve tea/coffee immediately after serving the food.

While there could be some technical reason, there are some issues of unprofessionalism and could have been controlled with proper interface.

I have been expecting that some senior person after going through the feedback form would revert back. However, this is yet to be reciprocated. I would update if some senior official contacts me. Meanwhile I will be forwarding the link of this post to the concerned department for their perusal and corrective steps if they wish to.
Nothing is good about this airline which used to be one of the best few years back. It is running in huge losses. Better to be avoided.

Beware, the next time if you are thinking to buy an Apple product i.e. Iphone / Ipad / Watch go through the following text elaborating the experience of its customers

If you intend to handover your iphone to apple service center for in warranty service you should be mentally prepared for the worst shock of your lifetime.

A few days after you left your phone with the service center you may be told that “you can take back your set as the same has not met the company's screening test which found that the device is damaged & so on.”

In other words, you have tried to get your phone repaired and serviced from other than the authorized service center. No matter, whatever you may plead that you have not even shown the phone to anyone else, what to talk of getting it serviced from outside.

Now you imagine what will be your feelings when the company is portraying you as a lair and levelling allegations which are totally false and baseless.

You being a loyal customer bought a new iphone/pad least knowing what is inside the box you have been handed over. You will never know that the company is selling and handing over tempered, recycled, upgraded and modified iphone/ ipad in the guise of a new phone and tomorrow if you need go to service center you will receive a shock of your life for the acts which you have not done.

I had submitted the set for service/repair on 11/2/2016, Job # DPP110216167665 with APPLE SERVICE CENTER (M/s B2X Service Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., Netaji Subhash Place, New Delhi-110034 INDIA CIN:U74120MH2010PTC203520). The customer service representative opened and inspected the set before accepting the set for service. On 16/2/2016 I was telephonically informed that “you can take back your set as the same has not met the company's screening test which found that the device is damaged & so on”. I was shocked a trembling with anger on listening such a utterly false allegation. I tried to convince that the set was never even shown to any outsider and was opened for the first time only by B2X executive for inspection before accepting the same for repairs.

I didn't collected the set from the service center and on 18/02/2016 spoke at the toll free number 18004252779 and later on with BHAGYASHREE DONGARE from Singapore office who gave case ID number 1051238285. Then again I was informed that the mobile could not be serviced by the company.
I strongly contested the claim because I have not shown or handover this phone to any third party/ unauthorized person since the time set was handed over to me by Apple in Australia.

Now the question arises where the mobile gets tempered and got damaged. If at all some tempering has been done in the mobile set, it could be either at Apple, Australia -who might have given this tempered set to me or some foul play by Apple, India.
Thereafter I had taken up this matter with Better Business Bureau
Then also the company refused to service the phone on the plea,
that the iPhone is internally modified, which Apple does not attribute to a manufacturer's defect.

I am feeing completely cheated by the company and its hypocritical practice and claim of customer support and satisfaction.

Absolutely 3rd graded support. I can not Trust SONY any more. I still have that defective piece with me.
